New Mimco Pendants - Now Available

I have a confession to make.. i'm addicted to mimco pendants. I already have 4 of them - an owl, bow, heart and moon. I wear them all the time, and i love love love them.

Mimco has just released a new range of these beautiful pendants, now available on their website and in store, each are $150.

My absolute MUST HAVE favourite is the seahorse, such a cute little creature. I love the diamontes on him and also the shading of colour from dark to light, on a light gold chain. It's perfect, and definitely the first one i will be picking up.

There are a couple more pendants which i think are super cute and will be trying to get my hands on in the near future, must do one at a time though to avoid maxing out the credit card even before doing any Christmas shopping! My picks are..

The Hummingbird

The Ladybug

Swashbuckling Charm

Convinced? You can purchase them at Mimco's website.

The real star of the new James Bond flick..

This gorgeous Jason Conran outfit that appears in the new James Bond movie - "Quantum of Solace" is gorgeous! I especially love the chunky gold fish necklace, really sets off the outfit and stands out as an awesome statement piece. It fetches for about 300 pounds though so I don't think i'll be getting the real thing any time soon, i am definitely inspired though!

New "Wizard of Oz" Collection by Tarina Tarantino

Tarina Tarantino has just released a new limited edition capsule collection arounf the theme of "Wizard of Oz". Now I don't have as much of a soft spot for these as i did the "Alice in Wonderland" collection, but nevertheless they are still super cute!

The collection features the characters from the books and movies, but redrawn into cute little cartoons.

I'm loving the Wicked Witch pieces...

Can't decide whether you fall into the Good Witch or Bad Witch category? Well tarina has you covered with this reversible necklace - so you can wear whichever side matches your mood!

I love seeing all the new collections that tarina brings out - if only her pieces were readily available in Australia!!

Tarina Tarantino - "Queen Alice" Pendant

Earlier this year Tarina Tarantino released the "Queen Alice" Collection. Tarina Tarantino is famous for creating fairly "kitsch" jewellry, and is well known because many celebrities have fallen in love with her pieces and are often snapped wearing them, including Paris, Cameron Diaz and so many others (have a look on her website!)

Anyway, years ago I bought a lovely little Hello Kitty necklace, which was heaps nice but a bit too "plasticy" and kid like for me to want to buy much else as I didn't really get as much wear out of it as I expected to!!

Some time last week I was browsing headbands on eBay and up popped an amazing creation from Tarina, which led me to browse her website and see what other new things she had on there. It was here that I discovered that Tarina has brought out this amazing Alice in Wonderland range, and i was instantly lemming a multitude of pieces..

The "Queen Alice Collection" was inspired by vintage Alice in Wonderland illustrations, and has a really "old world" and vintage feel about them, but then snazzed up with the swarovski crystals.

I loaded up the shopping cart on her website with a couple of items, but then the shipping was an OUTRAGEOUS amount for Australia, over $100 US for a couple of small items of jewellry? Absolutely ridiculous.

Instead I went to eBay and there were a lot of items, some with very high shipping. But I perservered and managed to nab this beautiful "Queen Alice" pendant with only $10 US shipping. Came to a grand total of $76 AUD when it retails for over $150 US! What a steal...

Do you like? I think it is really cute! And for such a good price too! I couldn't resist especially as it has my name on it.. ;)

Mimco Website Updated!

Well it has been a long time coming but the Mimco website has finally been updated!

They now have a much nicer looking site as well as a much larger range of products available for purchase in their online shop. I can see a lot of new stuff as well as some old pieces that I have not seen in store for a while.

I hope that they keep the site updated and new products added to the online shop when available, if so i can see this new look website becoming a great success! Not just for buying online but also browsing and forming addictions and lemmings to all their gorgeous pieces.

My pick and favourite of the moment : the Burlesque neck tie necklace

This is such an nice, beautiful necklace, and i really like the long length of it. I don't own many long necklaces at the moment but think they can really make a statement and look amazing, so i may need to invest in this one!
