Mila Kunis @ the Oscars

Mila wins my "best dressed" award for this year's Oscars.

She looked absolutely amazing inan Elie Saab lilac chiffon gown, with lace detailing and a ribbon waist. It looked lovely with her skin tone and brunette hair, so gorgeous..

This colour is my absolute favourite right now, i cannot get enough of it! Burberry have also done some amazing things lately in this lavender, lilac colour, however i can't seem to find anything at any non luxury stores.. keeping my eyes peeled though.

I was however lucky enough to find some lilac wedges which should be arriving in the post any day now..

Camilla & Marc for Portmans

From Madison Mag Article..

"Chain store favourite Portmans is teaming up with Aussie label Camilla and Marc for an exclusive capsule collection. "...

"There are two blazers – beautiful, scalpel-sharp with fine detailing – and eight different dresses in the limited-edition capsule collection which will be available in selected Portmans stores from September 26 with prices ranging from $250 to $350. All the dresses are geared towards the racing season but come with those delectable Camilla and Marc touches we’ve fallen for over the years – hems that sexily saunter along the mid-thigh, plunging necklines and acres of frothy tulle.
Asked if she has a favourite, Camilla doesn’t miss a beat. “I love the harlequin tulle dress. It will look perfect with a pair of fabulous heels for a day out at the races with your girlfriends.” Better get those orders in now ... "

Sounds amazing - cannot wait! Would love to get a camilla and marc blazer for <$350 compared to the normal $500 - $700 price range.

More info as I receive it!

EDIT - just found a pic online of the jacket - from Shop Till You Drop... and it looks amazing!

Christophe Kane Collection for TOPSHOP

So Christopher Kane is set to release a capsule collection for UK fashion juggernaut, TOPSHOP.

Having recently returned from a brief stint in Europe, this makes me quite sad I won't be able to pop down to my local Topshop to view and try on the pieces, but lucky for all us Australians we still have the option to buy online at www.topshop.com.

Now one of the dresses I almost bought over in Europe was a blatant rip off of a Christopher Kane design, so I find this a little bit amusing... but very exciting!

I've been eagerly following CK's designs since this awesome (and now infamous) t-shirt design came strolling down the catwalks..

Here it is in dress form looking totally hot on Rihanna...

I've also been a huge fan of his gorgeous scalloped dresses, almost sheer but in a romantic (not slutty) soft and feminine way.. they are just so pretty and wearable, I think they are a great contrast to his other work like the chimp tees..

Ahh so pretty! It was these dresses that had influenced the one i saw in Topshop - which was still very nice! Same sort of sheer material in navy blue, but was no where near as nicely finished, polished, and detailed as the above beauty, but that is to be expected i guess.

Needless to say both styles are absolutely AMAZING and made me very eager to see what else this dude had in store for us.

To get back to the point, it has been announced that Christopher Kane is now doing a collection for Topshop! Hooray!
You can view all the pieces in a lookbook online at http://www.topshopstyle.com/Christopher_Kane/ Check it out and tell me your favourites!

I'm loving
- The alligator version of the phenominal gorilla tee / dress (pictured below)
- Embellished Leggings (also below)
- Pink Mesh BodyCon dress (pic #22)
- Everything with the gems on it, scarf (pic #11), dress (pic #15), tee (pic #7), i want it all! Come in both white and black...

And the massive plus is that everything seems to be pretty reasonably priced... well compared to normal CK prices anyway! But seriously all looks real good and value for money.

Camilla & Marc - RAFW

Looking at the catwalk pics for Camilla and Marc @ Sydney Fashion week, and the pieces are absolutely divine! Loving the neutral palette mixed with metallics and black.

Standout item for me is this AMAZING jacket.. i have to have this!

The shape is delightful and the gold is just gorgeous! Loving the black shoulders also.. oh wow i can't get over how much i like it!

Also loving the cute little metallic bubble skirts in silver and gold..

Other highlights were the gold dress....

And the pinstripes. Especially in neutral as a jacket and slim but flowing pant...

.. and in the interesting black/green stripe minidress - cute cut!

Looking forward to see what else i will be buying this year, as displayed by Syd Fashion Week!

Alice McCall "Some Are Not Insects"

I love Alice McCall. Not only does she have a fabulous name *wink wink* but she is an amazing designer that makes pieces that are extremely wearable and unique.

I am lucky enough to own the gorgeous butterfly sleeved "fortune teller" dress that was a present from my lovely boyfriend. Since then i have been waiting for another must have piece to add to my collection.

The "some are not insects" range i believe has been out for some time now, but i have been slow on trying on or buying anything - not to mention far too poor! So keeping an eye out on any nice pieces in david jones or mycatwalk.

I am especially loving all the beetle inspired dresses and tops - they look wonderful!!

The puff sleeve blouse above looks gorgeous and very luxurious, but i am yet to see this around anywhere - does anyone know of any stockists?
